The Steve Adamson Tennis Academy is home to San Diego's top ranked juniors. Our alumni have gone off to play at Stanford, Harvard, USC, Princeton, Brown, University of Texas, UC Davis/Irvine and other top universities around the country. By emphasizing education, integrity, and a strong work ethic our players will be equipped with the skills needed to succeed not just on the tennis court but in life.
Player Development Programs
2024
Elite Tournament Group
Monday/Wednesday 4-6:30pm
This program focuses on the goal of getting our top junior players to play D1 collegiate tennis. Players in this program already have a high Southern California ranking and have achieved a USTA National ranking. Selection to this program is by invitation only. If you have a top ranking in Southern Cal or Nationally and would like to be considered into the program contact us.
Tournament Group
Tuesday/Thursday 4-6:30pm
This program is designed for high-level players ages 11-14 years old who possess a 8-10 UTR. Players are working on pattern play, strategy and player style preference while incorporating the proper footwork and technique. There is a waiting list for this program. Contact us if you would like to be considered for this program.
Elite/Tournament Summer Program
June-July-August 2024
This high intensity program is designed to challenge the junior player in all aspects of the game. We incorporate technical training with physical and mental capabilities to design a formula that will take the junior player to the next level. Contact us for a spot in the 2023 summer program.

2021 USTA Facility of the Year
The Barnes Tennis Center
We are happy to announce that we've moved to the Barnes Tennis Center one of the finest facilities in the country. With 23 hard courts including a stadium, and 2 newly refurbished red clay courts we are now offering our academy players the opportunity to train at a world class facility. The center provides the academy players physical therapy, injury prevention, and personal training services provided by Catalyst. BTC hosted some of the highest level tournaments in 2020-2021 including the PAC-12 Championships, 2021 Easter Bowl, The ITF grade 1 ISOC Championships, and the Southern Cal 2020 Junior Sectionals.
